Academic Strengths

The freshman year is designed to provide students with a successful transitional experience to
high school. Freshmen are welcomed by a highly experienced environment that fosters outstanding
student achievement.

Students take a Placement Examination to assist in selecting from three levels of study: Honors, College
Preparatory and Modified College Preparatory. Placement will be determined by the results of the placement
exam, recommendations from the elementary school teachers, courses taken in 8 th grade and interviews
